How to choose your right portable adapter?

(This laptop has)
V = An input Voltage of 19.5V.
AC or DC – DC as indicated by the symbol.
mAh/A – consumes 3.34A to 4.62A of current.
Once you have this key data you are ready to start looking for an adapter.
Choosing the right adapter specs.
The general rule is to match the V and equal or beat the mAh, so if you are choosing an AC adapter to make sure you check the following,
The adapter output V matches the rated input V of the device.
The adapter output is greater or equal to the devices rated mAh or A.
The plug fits into your device and has the correct polarity.
Usually, all of this info is on the adapter sticker, remember you are always looking for the output V and mAh or A.

Choosing the plug

Hopefully you have the size of the devices plug and can just check the adapters measurements, there are two measurements for these types of connectors.

OD – Outer diameter of the plug.
ID – Inner diameter of the plug.

If you are measuring you need the diameter of the center pin for the (ID) and the inner diameter of the port (OD).

How to take care your Laptop battery?

Here are a few tips to ensure that your gadget’s battery has a long and happy life:
1. Don’t get too attached
Apple’s customer care says you should do this to “keep the electrons in it moving occasionally.” Wired has a better explanation of whyhere. But the bottom line is, doing this can help prolong your battery life by as much as four times.(1.Keep it between 40 and 80 percent. 2.You should also fully charge and discharge your computer’s battery at least once a month)
2. Stay cool
That’s not to say you should be completely paranoid about keeping it on flat, cool surfaces all the time. But maybe consider moving it to a desk before you fall asleep or head to work(between 50 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit).
3. Update, update, update
You may fear change, but change can extend your battery life. So make sure you have the latest software installed on your computer.
4. Don’t just leave it there.
You should store it with a 50 percent charge in a consistently cool area. Storing the computer with a fully discharged battery might ruin the battery forever. And storing it with an absolutely full charge might cut the battery’s lifespan short.

How to find the Bose SoundLink Mini Battery Replacement (Bose Soundlink Mini 2 )

Step 1
Front/Back Protective Grille
Insert the Metal Spudger between the rubber edge on the grille and the aluminum casing.

Step 2
Slowly pry up the grille until the two tabs shown pop out.

Step 3
The grille is attached to the speaker with double sided sticky tape. To remove the grill gently pull upward while keeping tension to the right.

note:Be very gentle, the grille will bend.
Step 4
Repeat steps to remove the back grille

Step 5
Battery Cover
Remove the four 15.0 mm screws on the left and the four 9.0 mm screws on the right using the T8 Torx Screwdriver.

Step 6
Remove the circuit board by pushing it with your index finger in the direction shown while using a nylon or metal spudger to lift it up and out of place.

Step 7
Carefully pull on the battery cover until the rubber tab slides out of the aluminum casing.

Q:I had the same problem. If the little rubber tab is not damaged (mine was fine), you should be able to follow these instructions to replace it. But I have these comments on the instructions:

1) You do NOT need to remove the front grill. I have no idea why they suggest you do that here.

2) I think the reason you remove the battery is to make sure the circuit board has zero power on it when you work on it — otherwise a touch of the screwdriver to an unlucky spot on the board might short/burn something out. But I don’t think there’s any mechanical reason to remove it.

3) Once you pop off the back grill cover, you should be able to slide the tab through the slot and coax it up (maybe with a tooth-pick and/or tweezers) on top of the circuit board, but it’s probably better to unscrew the circuit board (as directed here) which makes it easier to push the rubber tab through. Then slide the circuit board back under the tab and screw it back into place.

Some people's suggestions:

1.Go to the Bose updater webpage. install the software and plug in the speaker to your computer. it will update your speaker and hopefully fix some battery bugs. Worked for me for a little bit but now I'm back to flashing red light and looking for a replacement battery.

2.Before you purchase a battery call Bose and speak to a technician . I thought I needed a battery but the tech instructed me what to do and now my battery is charging again.

3.You can actually open that battery pack up when you are careful. The glue is not very strong.

4.I tried many things, but was unable to charge my battery. Then, while attempting to download the new software, I followed the instruction to have the unit attached to the base charger AND then attache the unit to the computer using a USB and a second connector to the side charging slot. Now the battery is charging!

5.If u have problem on charging the battery, reset the system by pressing the center button fir 10secs and then release it. Then continue to re-charge it using the cable and charger provided with the system. Tony Lopez

6.I followed this guide and simply took the battery out and put it back in, my speaker is working perfectly now.
